Stomorska is the oldest coastal village on the island of Šolta and one of the most charming seaside destinations in Croatia. Located on the northeastern side of the island, just across the channel from Split, the village has preserved its authentic Dalmatian character despite the growth of tourism.

Stone houses built along the bay, small fishing boats in the harbor and a relaxed seaside promenade create a peaceful Mediterranean atmosphere that visitors immediately fall in love with.

Unlike larger Croatian tourist destinations, Stomorska remains calm and authentic. It is an ideal place for travelers who want to experience the traditional island lifestyle of Dalmatia.

Many visitors choose accommodation in Stomorska because of its combination of crystal clear sea, local restaurants, beautiful nature and easy access from Split.

    Sports & Activities

    Tennis

Just a short walk from Stomorska, there is a tennis court with a unique open-sea view - one of the rare spots where you can play tennis with such scenery. The court has floodlights for evening play. Since summer temperatures can be high, we recommend early morning sessions right after sunrise or evening sessions under the lights. For reservations and getting in touch with locals who rent out the court, feel free to contact us - we'll be happy to help.

    Local Food and Restaurants

Traditional Dalmatian cuisine is an important part of the Stomorska experience. Fresh fish, local olive oil, homemade wine and honey from the island are common ingredients in local restaurants.

We especially recommend dining at seaside konobas where dishes are prepared with freshly caught fish grilled over charcoal. Šolta's olive oil has a protected designation of origin and is considered among the finest on the Adriatic coast.
